She was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Kolber is a native of Pennsylvania earned a doctoral degree from University of Miami. Her professional journey began as a video editor at CBS Sports in New York City. In her time at WTVJ-TV Miami, she won a Sports Emmy. Also, she worked for WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. In 1993, she was a part of ESPN and was named one of the initial anchors of ESPN2 when it was introduced at the time. She worked at ESPN2 over the next three years until she left for Fox Sports. In 1999, she was hired by ESPN to host "Monday night Countdown.'
